AAB began with a simple concern: valuable learning disappears.
Projects finish. People move on. Failures are buried. Evidence becomes separated from the reasoning that gave it meaning. AAB is being built to change that.
Why AAB exists
Understanding should survive the project that produced it.
David Gorey founded AAB around the belief that scientific value is lost when organisations preserve conclusions but not the evidence, contradictions, failures, uncertainty and unanswered questions surrounding them.
Agriculture became the first proving domain because its learning is inseparable from field reality: formulation lineage, trials, plots, environmental context, observations, outcomes and accountable scientific review.
The longer-term ambition reaches beyond agriculture. AAB is intended to become governed scientific memory and reasoning infrastructure that can support water, environment, aquaculture, food systems, manufacturing, medicine and research—without pretending that software replaces scientific authority.
